I might be interested in this. Do you include how to remove the damn
thing... I'm not even sure how to do that. Do I need a hydraulic jack... and
how many tons should it be rated for... which leads to another topic... what
is the list of tools every vanagon owner should have, I mean the complete
list... I'm curious what everyones opinion would be on this. If you want to
start a tool list thread, please reply with the Subject: Tool List.
Now back to the automatic transmission... can it be made stronger??? For
handling greater power... or for lasting longer even under a heavier load.
Someone was saying that rebuilds on automatics aren't as carefree or
reliable as rebuilds on manuals.. is there any truth to this, and why would
that be. Then again, someone said that its easier to rebuild automatics than
manuals. Kinda conflicting don't you think...
