I paid the bike 50$, and that's CAD! + second bike for 300 with good engine (190PSI all 4) bored to 600cc + 350 on parts = 700 (+ another 200$ in various parts), so for about 1000 i should have a nice vintage 1983 GPz 550 (600). I also owned a 1998 Kawasaki ZX-RR, that is for going 160mph when am tired of driving at 55 (he he he), it's a good balance! Whne am finish with that, i need to decide which kind of carburetion i put on my 73; old Solex's (still working, poorly but working - Brand new single Weber - used 78 FI (missing the PVC valve/breather), so i have 3 choice!!! Conclusion: The Solex suck, the FI needs a very good cleaning and checking, the Weber is dificult to tune. Rebuilt heads arrived yesterday, am using the old pistons as they are well within specs. FI fuel tank installed. I think i will have to use the Weber for this summer, if i want to use that bus. Cheers, Ben http://pages.infinit.net/eurokit/ |
