Hello, Thanks Jim, Thomas, Vincent, Dennis, and any others who responded to my questions. The help was very appreciated. What my mechanic overlooked, turned out to be a faulty series resistor for the cooling fan. If it's damaged; the cooling led blinks all the time, the fan won't come on and the car over heats. Thanks to this list , I got the part [$40 giant green resistor] and fixed the first problem of my vanagon, myself. love that feeling. =] Got to go an a beautiful trip to the Sierras this weekend and off to Oregon in a couple days. -Chris 90' westy "MotherShip"
