This is probably just because the old stuff had gotten awfully thin and seemed to have a fair amount of water mixed in with it, though. It sure reeked to high heaven. Haven't had any truely cold weather since I did the change so I can't remark on the Redline's cold weather performance, but as far as I can tell every gear old is lousy in cold weather. Even my Honda grinds into 2nd gear when it gets below 20 degrees F out.
