Thanks to all who responded to my question about the high beam indicator. Joel Walker pointed out that it is not a LED, but a tiny bulb, a "wheat germ" bulb, which is not a term I have ever heard of before. Mine is missing the blue cap, or it's stuck in the dash panel (I didn't get a chance to look at it again tonight, as after work I had to take advantage of the only 24 hour period in days to cut my grass-the rain is coming back tomorrow for another 4-5 days). As for the battery discharging, I've had to track this down before in other cars I've owned. What's confusing is that it started just fine Friday morning after sitting for a week, and started up fine yesterday morning as well. I have added no electrical accessories at all. I only replaced the one license plate light, side marker light, then started to tackle the high beam indicator, and then suddenly the battery dies. Well, with the rain over the next several days I should find the time to troubleshoot it. I'll be at the Bug-Out this weekend selling off the rest of my stash of bay window parts. Jeff |
