The concept is good, and I don't think asking a price of $25 for the
info if well illustrated and packaged well is out of line, but I do
think that for that price the info is short. The book/manual/guide/CD
should include not only the transmission but also the final drive.
I would suggest putting it out initially as a CD. Easy and cheap to do.
Easy to make an addendum with new information. Not so much ink. Not so
much wear and tear on printers, and if van owners want they can print by
the page any references needed for the work bench while rebuilding a tranny.
I drive an 88 GL with a manual tranny. I've a knee that is is going to
force me to give up all the clutching action on my current van. An
automatic is in my future for certain. Given the extreme low level of
availble knowledgeable and qualified mechanics for the vans, I would
feel a lot more secure knowing myself something about the overhaul of
the automatics.
In any case. I would buy the book/CD.
Go for it.
Good luck.
