Better first test would be to check the fuel pressure. This will check out
the pump, regulator and will show leakage on shut-down. I had a regulator
go bad and the pressure was very high--high enough to blow off a fuel line.
Check the fuel pressure first. If it is normal when running, shut off the
engine and see if it leaks down. It should hold pressure for a while. A
leaking injector will drop the pressure right off. Revving the engine to
2500 rpm and holding it there will also show if your fuel filter it capable
of passing sufficient fuel. Lots of info from this little test.
