I used some stuff once that seemed to work really well. I got it at K-Mart or Wal-Mart, I forget which, in the auto paint section. It was made by Krylon, if memory serves, and was billed as a ceramic exhaust header paint. I wish I could be more specific but it's been a long time. I was skeptical but it stuck really well to a set of VW Bus headers and heater boxes, even though my surface prep wasn't very good. I didn't bake it.
