Sid, check the 5 amp fuse in the black box just to the left of the thermostat housing, that is the fuse for the ignition coil. Also make sure all wires to the ignition coil are in good order. I just had a problem with mine. The two green wires fell off, corrosion at the terminal ends, stripped back the wires to expose good clean wire, dipped the wire in liquid solder flux to remove the oxidation, crimped on two new terminal ends. The male terminals on the ignition coil were also so corroded I had to remove the ignition coil, remove the male terminals from the distributor, clean them, clean the terminal ends of the black wires and coat well all connections with dielectric grease. Cleaned & POR-15ed the ignition coil, ignition coil bracket and relay box bracket also while I was in there.

Cheers
