Subject:      Will Scirocco steering wheel fit on Vanagon?

Does anyone know if a standard MkI Scirocco steering
wheel will fit on an '85 Vanagon?  I truly hate the
huge "bus" steering wheel. (I find myself bending over
it to turn, just like a bus driver!)


I found  one I really like that came off a Scirocco.
The seller says he knows it will fit watercooled VWs
up to about '89, such as Rabbit, Golf, Jetta, GTI,
GLI, Dasher, Fox, and Quantum.  Does anyone know for
sure if it'll fit my van?


Also, are there any good reasons why I *shouldn't*
install a smaller steering wheel?
