hey gang someone mentioned to me lately--a vanagon mechanic at that--that there was an additive out there to put in your tranny for aging transmissions. Vanagon tranny's are noisy beast, and mine has a slight bearing noise being emitted in 1st and second. he said it wasnt a miracle worker. but really made a difference in a vanagon transmission. does anyone know what this product is? I mentioned redline to him and he agreed that was also a good idea. I replaced my fluid about 500 miles ago--wanted to flush it out with some normal dino lube first. thinking of going redline now. probably some more miles yet. but--I would love to know what this product is and if anyone has any thoughts on it. i would enjoy a lil quieter ride obviously--even though my noise is nothing serious. I wanna take care of it. mike |
