Beware of engine builders making claims unsubstantiated by actual dyno tests! A more important number to have in hand is TORQUE and a broad torque band at that. Lots of torque is what Westies need to climb mountains, not high-revving horsepower.

I also noticed that GoWesty.com is selling much higher HP vanagon Waterboxer engines now too. Up to 135 HP -- or something in that area. I'd be interested to know if anyone has tried one. Dixon
