I asked the list about a problem with my carb'ed van stumbling except when the second barrel opened up. After chasing the timing and dwell and plugs and plug wires, the problem was ............... The gasket that is between the intake manifold and the head, was missligned and air was getting in - therefore bypassing the carb so there was little gas getting to the cylinder. It smoothed out when the 2nd barrel opened proving a richer mixture. I just used some form-a-gasket to try and seal it up better. FWIW I'm still waiting for a guy to fabrecate an adapter plate for my NEW Weber (DVEV) and VW intake manifold from a 1.9 European carb'ed van. M __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
