I'm not sure that'd help. Is your fan cycling frequently? If not, the running temperature is being set by the engine thermostat, not the fan switch. Remember, the fan switch comes on only when the *radiator* reaches a particular temperature, and that may not be the same as the engine coolant temperature if the thermostat isn't fully open. I have to be stopped in traffic for quite a while before the fan on my van comes on. I wired an LED across the low speed fan circuit so I could see when it comes on. (I did one for the high speed circuit, too, but now I realize that was silly. I manually energized the high speed circuit the other day, and there's no way I need a light to tell me if that one comes on!)
