Hello,

I solved my problem with the oil leak and I thought I would inform you of what had happened.

As you know the oil cooler is held to the block by three studs that go thought the cooler body and receive 3 M5 .75 nuts with respective wavy washer and applied torque of 5 pounds/foot. There are also 3 plastic washer that according to my manual are to be set between the cooler and the block. NOT, these plastic washer sit against the cooler on the other side from the block, just before the wavy washers. Because of my mistake the rubber rings seals did not compress enough and leaked, so there.

Now,

how is this?

The engine runs well, starts well and all that. The timing light cast the strobe light 45 degrees to the left, retard side, of the pulley from where it should be.

Have you seen this before? What is it?
