Hi Jeff,

The fiberglass bumpers and side cladding can be repaired and repainted; even the "new" dealer replacements come black, and must be painted to match.

The repair is done on the back side of the material using short strand fiberglass to correct structural damage. "Corvette Panel adhesive" goes on the front, " to repair the cosmetic blemish, available from a Napa, or the bodyshop section of the autoparts store that carries Automotive Paint supplys;. Check your Yellow pages for any part store that sells automotive paint.

The autobody upply house personell can offer you primers and paint supplies to complete the repair job.

BTW the stock VW silver color on my panels was not listed in the Paint Code books, I used a Toyota truck color that was extremely similiar, just a tenth of a shade darker.
