I'd lay money on it....any front-end creaking on a T3 nearly always can be attributed to the UCABs

Well FWIW...my L-H one started creaking when the van was only several years old and I had no intention of replacing it then.I routinely used spray grease on it as best I could when it annoyed me.It took a number of applications over maybe a year or two but eventually it shut up and hasn't creaked again to this day (reaching to touch wood as I speak...;)

> What level of difficulty would this job be = >(in terms of replacement) for this willing - albeit backyard mechanic? Bear in mind the creaking is only annoying...not usually symptomatic of a bushing ready to fail...is it really worth the effort? Only you can be the judge....The archives details the proceedure and much discussion if you really wanna go to the effort...and you'll need to get the a wheel allignment afterwards... Try starting with routinely using a bit of lubricant (and I mean that in the nicest possible way...)
