The pressure plate should be replaced as part of the clutch set. The input shaft needs to be replaced. The flywheel needs to be measured before being cut, and both surfaces need to be cut. I've seen thm cut to the point that the disc hub hits the crank bolts.

OK, I got the tranny out. As suggested, it just took a ton of prying and it eventually came out. Took the clutch out, removed the flywheel (which I'll take to get resurfaced, does the pressure plate need resurfaced?). My questions (and current problems):

- Pilot bearing is most certainly fried. The shaft on the transmission (input shaft?) is no longer smootly round. The shaft apears to have some of the needle bearing "welded" to it. Should I care about this? If so, what do I do?

- Oil Seal: Everyone says to "pry it out with a screwdriver." Well, perhaps I'm being a bit soft on it, but its not prying. I assume I shove a screwdriver in through the middle (by the crank shaft), toward the engine casing and pry it out like this? If I'm given the word, I'll give it hell and keep trying, it just seems quite stuck.

- Pilot bearing, I guess I've read enough in the arhives about some tricks to remove this, but perhaps I'll ask again later when I actually give it a try.

Thanks for everyone's help (and patience).
