Larry, I'm thinking of going to the BBQ. I'll let you know for sure by Friday.

For the rest of the vanagoners, does anyone know a nice, quiet campground near Sacramento, the place of the BBQ? I don't mind paying for campground fees. I live near San Francisco Airport, so I'm thinking of shooting up to Sacramento for the RoadHaus BBQ early Saturday morning, then relaxing at some campsite near there. Maybe I'll visit the state capital while I'm there. Is there anything interesting to do in Sacramento, other than the BBQ? The bonus about camping is that I'll be able to drink beer and not have to drive the 2 hours back home. :-)

Not sure if the van will make it. However, I'm never sure if my Westy will make it no matter where i go. It'll be my first camping trip since I swapped the 1.9L waterboxer out for the one I found on eBay. Also, it'll be my first drive since I flushed the cooling system and applied the block sealant (which I don't think worked). Who knows, I might discover that my cylinder heads really are cracked... Though, I did take off all the exhaust pipes and ran the engine with the exhaust coming directly out of the cylinder heads and no water spit out at me... Well, the RoadHaus BBQ is at a mechanic shop, so might be a good place to drive to.. ;-)
