I also just installed an Optima gel cell and was *planning* on running an auxillary fuse box off of it [ back by the ECU ]

From the new fuse box I wanted to run the Subwoofer along with a 12volt power outlet somewhere in the back hatch area. I can use that to run my electric cooler or plug in the solar charger.

I'm installing an Optima battery under the driver's seat. In theory, you could argue that with the proper isolation (not restarting relay vs. isolator debate here!!) the starter battery should be reserved only for starting, and the auxiliary battery powers everything else.

For those of you who've done this before, what loads have you moved to the auxiliary battery, and what were the wiring tricks you employed?

thanks for any advice!!
