Working on a Vanagon 90 Carat Waterboxer

Have the Bentley guide on order with Amazon, but have heard mention of the Haynes's Manaul.
Do they have a Haynes or Chilton's that covers as hi as the 90 vanagon or can I get one that covers say the early 80's and get pretty good use out of it ?
