Subject: Speed sensitive skip
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Volks,

I have been working on my 84 Westy and have almost got it running right. My only problem is a skip that occurs at about 5 mi/hr. in first gear, 21 mi/hr. in second gear, about 35 mi/hr in third and about 52 mi/hr. in forth gear. It was running much rougher until I corrected some leaks in the exhaust header. The skip is there whether the engine is cold or hot, so I doubt if it is Oxygen Sensor related. I have tried two different air flow meters with the same results.

If anyone has had this problem, please let me know what you did to solve it.

TIA, John
