Regarding transporting your scooter: There are gravity/clamp on brackets you can get(at least back in the 70's you could). Hook em to your bumper, tighten and your 8 or 9 inch tires fit in "cages". Then just secure it. Friend had them. If you stay in a motel, drive your scooter into your room at night. I junk picked a set, for larger motor cycle of course, and I was always curious if my vespa 200 tires would fit..too lazy to find out and haven't had a car w/ exposed bumpers. Now I have a multivan with covered bumpers and they aren't going on that....maybe when I get a syncro...
