Hi List,

There's been a bit of discussion on the list and also a bit off list about obtaining the pinion nut socket, essential for anyone contemplating DIY transmission work on their vanagon. Long Enterprises sells the socket for $95 US (www.longenterprises.com) A lot for a tool that will barely be used, but they are also now willing to rent the tool for a 3 week hire @ $30 (plus P&P) at least on a trial basis.

Hope this proves a good option.

Steve
