Can anyone comment on the precision of the stats listed at vanagon.com, specifically as regards the height of a 1988 Vanagon Westy? I think I've found a reliable carrier at a good price, but . . . . I was just told that if the vehicle is over 7' (84") tall, I'll need a different transporter and another $350. The stats listed at http://www.vanagon.com/info/years/1988/index.html for the camper show a height of 80.9", and shows the skylight as standard material ( I had previously been warned that it was the skylight that caused the height to exceed the 7' mark). I think I'm almost willing to take a chance on skylight damage, if I have to - but I'm curious as to what this group has to say. Thanks in advance! Annie |
