I'm mic'ing up the clearances between my crank and bearings, noting the clearances that the haynes manual calls out (between 0.001" and 0.002", if memory serves). I can most certainly measure these bearings outside of the case, but once the the engine is bolted together, do the bearings crush at all? Does the in-hand nominal measurement equal the final bolted-tegether diameter measurement? And what is a good way to measure the split bearing? A straight edge across the flats when installed and then depth/radius? Thanks, -Damon ===== '84 Westy (Sparky) '65 Kharma Ghia (Dharma) __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
