I'm a little puzzled. I removed the driver's seat and the swivel assembly from my '90 Westy and find underneath the rails for mounting the seat without the swivel assembly. I've seen several pictures from other list members that seem to show this last part (the fixed, no swivel seat rails) removed giving access to the shallow compartment underneath, but I can't see any way to remove the pan in the middle. Is this welded in or is there a way to get it out? BTW, for those of us that are taller and have trouble seeing the speedometer and tach I'll bet that mounting the drivers seat on the lower set of rails (eliminating the swivel base) would help. |
