A current thread on the syncro list got me thinking about all the BTDT that have been posted at vanagon and syncro over the years. As the archives have grown its harder and harder to find the very useful how-to posts that other have put up as they worked their way through a proceedure in the Bentley. If these posts could somehow be recaptured and organized they would be much more accessible and I presume the search load on the vanagon archives would also decline. So I thought it might be interesting for folks to look at http://members.aol.com/c1j1miller/repair.html . If you scroll down the page a bit, you will find a BTDT section that is organized by Bentley section indexes. I find this organization very helpful in working on my Audi. For instance, see the comments and photos I added on the Bentley heater box replacement: http://members.aol.com/c1j1miller/climate.html#Heater%20blower
Anyway, just throwing the idea out there. We have a tremendous amount of technical knowlege and experience in the group, much of it already posted. This might be a good model for making the information more readily available. Tom F.
