91 Carat w/ electric windows
passanger side window is stuck in the full down position

Got a replacement regulator and motor from vanagain.com (great to deal
with)

PROBLEM:
The haynes manual says to put the window into the up position and remove
the two bolts that hold it to the regulator
BUT my window is STUCK FULLY DOWN AND WILL NOT RESPOND TO THE SWITCH AT
ALL.
When I manualy try to (dare I say) force it, it feels REALLY stuck.
Afraid of breaking the window, not to mention the damage to my hands,
BUT I can't get to the bolts holding the window to the regulator without
getting it up further.

Any suggestions?

NOTE. when I push the down switch the motor jimmies a bit so I figure it
is still alive
but when I try the up position the motor just sits there dead as a door
nail.

oh yeah I forgot to mention that it has been raining all week in
Virginia. LOL :(
