Thanks Allan, They were mostly manufactured in the VW plant in Hannover, Germany until about 1992. Then Syncros IIRC were assembled in Graz, Austria. To the best of my knowledge none were assembled in North America. VW Vanagons (Caravelle & Transporter over there) in South African until this past year.
