Marty, Anything is possible. The problems or drawbacks would be that the panels would cost a ton of money and the performance of the solar vehicle would make the typical 1.9l Vanagon feel like a Porche 911. Solar is a cool power source but the weight of the Vanagon would present some serious drawbacks. Those solar cars use all kinds of fancy materials to shave the wieght down.
