You WILL be happy with the job if you go to Home Depot with a 2" by 2" piece of cardboard on which you have applied a sample of the color of your westy. Tell them to mix you a gallon of their best satin/exterior paint. Buy a pan and roller, blue masking tape and sand paper. Go home. Wait for a good day. And while your're waiting, ask yourself this - Do I want to pay hundreds of dollars so that I can admire 6" of fiberglass when I look a my westy from the side (assuming you're not 7'3")? Sand it. Mask it. Park it out of the sun. Carefully roll on two coats(an hour between coats). Get the masking tape off before it sets up. Your job will have a slight sheen, and you'll be able to admire it for about 3 to 4 years. Then, do it all over again. I've done this on 3 different westys to date. The best part is it'll cost only about $25, and you'll feel very superior to all those guys with white tops. Dave Cromwell 82 1.9 diesel/westy "La Ballena Azul"
