Subject:      OT: Anyone know anything about BMW E34 (5 Series)

I am looking to purchase a BMW 525iT (1993). I know little about the cars
but am trying to get a quick education before I purchase one. I've done a
lot of reading online, but I was wondering if anyone on the list had any
experience with the E34 BMW's. I haven't seen anything that would scare me
away just yet, but I wanted to know if there was anything specific I should
look into or be afraid of failure (like a $4000 transmission replacement).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. By the way, I've heard that the
inline 6 motor is very reliable. The car drove very nicely even with 120K.
