Subject: Power Windows; Help!

Folks,

Power window problem on my 90 Westy.

Both power windows were moving up and down verrrrrry slooooooowly. The passenger window moved just as slow when activated with both the driver side switch as the passenger side.

Two questions:

1)I removed the regulator from the passenger side, cleaned and lubricated it, then reassembled everything, but now the window won't go down all the way. It goes up all the way, but the motor stops when there is about a half inch of window exposed. Where did I err?

2) After all the disassembly, cleaning and reassembly, the window still moves up and down about as slow as it did before. The regulator looks fine -- no cracks or dirt. Any suggestions on what the problem could be?

I was thinking of disassembling and cleaning the driver side assembly and regulator as well, but not if it doesn't solve the problem. Any suggestions on why both windows are moving so slowly in both directions? TIA.

- Kevin
