Vanagons on tow dollies tend to swing and sway a lot, not enough front end weight. That is what I found. I towed a Westy with the more weight and it towed OK for 200 miles. I towed a Vanagon on a dolly for about 50 miles at 40 mph, it did just fine. Over 40/45 the Vanagon got pretty wild. I watched a Westy on a dolly behind a motor home and the guy was towing the Westy on a rear flat tire, it was swinging real bad and crossing lane markers. I tried to catch up with him to warn him but he was just going to fast on a windy day for me to tell him. I watched for the next ten miles to see if I could spot him along the highway or in a frontage service station ........ never saw the guy again.
