Folks,

Well, my wife and i and our beloved '89 Westy made it out and back from the Badlands, Devils Tower and the Black Hills. 10 days on the road... fridge running on propane the whole time without so much as a burp. Even made ice every night! Made cocktail hour after 13 mile hikes very civilized.

I'll have photos and a full report up on my website later this week if anybody is curious.

The hilites are 1) strong westerly winds for the homeward leg got us the best gas milage yet >21 MPG, 2) lots of bison, big horned sheep and mountain goats were seen up close, 3) no mechanical problems aside from a nasty rock ding in windshield.

Which brings me to my question: anybody have any ideas where to get a Vanagon windshield replaced in Minneapolis, MN, and what i should expect to pay?

Best,

-jspeer '89 Westy GL, "Mystery Machine"
