The Bug is more obviously unique. The Rabbit is just another econobox to most people's eyes, nearly indistinguishable from a Ford Escort, Chevy Chevette, or Dodge Omni. For that reason few people have kept them up or restored them.

Plus they suffer from the same terminal rust-out as all VWs.
