"RV" insurance is a completely different animal than auto insurance. RV insurance includes some features of a homeowners or apartment dwellers insurance as there are different liability and theft issues. The Westy does not qualify as an RV per the IRS code mostly because it does not have permanently installed toilet and shower facilities. As for the cost, RV insurance is usually reasonable since RV rarely get into accidents. Progressive is the biggie on the RV world. Go to GoodSam.Com or Go Rving.com to find other sources. Most RV insurance companies cater to the club members.

I contacted my insurance company (State Farm) about covering my 85 Westy as an RV and the agent told me that they no longer offer RV insurance because of the "hassle" it became...or some such reason.I live in MD and use another car as a daily driver and a truck for a stuff-hauler. Does anyone know of another reputable Insurance company that offers this kind of policy.

Thanks, Tracey
