Does anyone make a simple S-shaped shifter extension for Vanagons?  I've
seen them for baywindow buses, but I assume the threads on the shifter are
different.

I have long legs, and I find myself leaning forward to engage 3rd gear.
I don't really want a short shift kit (the shifter is sloppy enough
without amplifying the sloppiness by reducing the travel) but if I could
move the knob back a few inches that'd be great.
