I replaced my plastic fuel line with 5/16" steel line. A short section of rubber line to splice it at the fuel pump and another to splice it at the engine end. I did away with that stupid and dangerous plastic bulkhead connector... it's an accident waiting to happen. I slid a piece of rubber tubing over the steel line where it goes through the frame. There's room once the old line is out. I did both the pressure and return lines in steel, with minimal rubber line in the system.
