Interesting points from all. I am wondering now if those of you with RV insurance notice a significant decrease in policy cost per year versus "regular" auto policies. I insure 4 vehicles and would like to cut down the cost by insuring the Westy as an RV since it rarely gets driven. While it is obvious that policies vary from company to company, I am curious to know what exactly an RV policy may cover that is different from a car policy. Interior components like refirigerators,tv's,kitchen equip, etc?? Anyone with actual claim experiences that might help me make an informed insurance decision please p-mail me.

The Westy seems like it is almost in a class of it's own...along with any van conversion..somewhere between regular vehicle and camper.
