Mick, You should have bought the Fiamma F45 awning. It's a totally different awning than the F35 you talk about. The F45 has aluminum cast hinges and fittings. It can be set up by one person in less than 20 seconds without any strain. You just hook up the little crank and turn it a few times, and the awning comes out. The legs are made from aluminum with aluminum hinges. I tested the F35 manual model in the store, and in my opinion, it's lousy. It makes your back hurt unfurling it. You have to hold the whole awning in your hands to unroll it, and roll it back up. But I guess it's cheaper. The F45 is totally totally different. Here's a link to my website where I review the F45: http://www.geocities.com/harald_nancy/ Btw Fiamma made a link to my website for the F45 awning product review, but I don't get any kickbacks. Personally the F45 is the best awning ever made of all the various contraptions out there. Harald If you like to talk about vw camping, click here: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/vw-camping/
