We discussed the Bentley numerical format and it was never rejected the
project just died from lack of participation.
There are a lot of things in the archives that sound good but really
don't work or represent the long way to get things accomplished.
It takes a real expert to separate the fly droppings from the pepper
here.
I've been fairly prolific in posting ............. I've posted a lot of
pure crap and it would take me two days to select the material from my
postings that has actual value.
I had the quality stuff on a web site and it saved me lots of typing time
because I could just send people to my site or clip and paste.
The one thing that I'd like to see from whom ever does your project is
part numbers for items that the text addresses. Vanagon terminology is
very new to those needing the Bentley or other manuals the most and
confirming with a part number would be a big help.
I wish you luck getting this thing done and I'll send you a CD of about
300 pages of Type IV Air Cooled tech notes that I've produced,
plagiarizer or referenced. It's mostly related to the engine and various
simple repair procedures.
