Only "failure" I have ever had was the bolts coming out and I believe this was my own fault. They don't (at least on 2WD) have to steer and drive as the FWDs do. Really should last a long time if the boots are not damaged. Consider the neck snapping torque of the wbx.... Jay

Good points, but do CVs fail catastrophically? From what I've seen, they just get noisier and noisier for a long time when they need to be replaced.
