Subject: Clutch Question
Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII

I'm done! And, I took it for a test drive and it works! Its only taken me a month to do, but it is done. OK, my question:

-------------

Question 1:

The clutch pedal seems to engage quite high in the pedal stroke. Before it was engaging somewhere in the middle.

I did replace the master and slave cylinder and bled them. Could this be a sign that I need to bleed them again?

----------------

Question 2:

After I got the tranny up and bolted to the engine (which was a bit of chore since I'm working alone), I realized I forgot to put the grease on the input shaft (oops). I'm pretty sure I'm not going to tear it all back apart unless someone tells me that I really need to be concerned. If my new clutch and input shaft only last 5 years instead of 10, that is probably fine with me at this point. If my new clutch and input shaft are likely to fail next week because of this omisson, then I guess I need to open it all back up. Somehow my guess is that if a mechanic forgot this, it would stay without the grease.

Any ideas?

------------

Thanks for the answers and (if you helped me out before) thanks for helping me get it done!!!
