Did it 6 years ago, then replaced it again this year as even though it was still good. When I first bought my van, the original VW hose was hard and broken and the van stalled (VW couldn't figure it out, previous owner replaced lots of FI stuff and ignition stuff). Cheap fix, even if I had to do it every 6 months, it's still cheaper.
