Hello all, pretty interesting gig about the engine swap. We run a Passat SW for a family car, 250,000 kms later nothing vibrate in that small 4. And nothing has fallen off the car, yet. Two kids, dogs and plenty of hard use and car pooling in between. I would say, pretty good engine. I doubt my air cooled bus will give same service. Anyway, BOSCH relay. can some pls. teach us how to read the numbers at the bottom of the relays. I had to add a ignition controlled service triggered by way of + side of the coil but I now I think I reduced the voltage to the coil and made starting a little harder than it used to be. Thus I want the new circuit to be under relay control, but how does one wire the typical Bosch relay? Where does the + trigger connects, which are the two terminals of the open/closed contacts, which is ground? Any thing else I should know, like which book do you guys recommend for a novice auto electrician? Thank, Andrea |
