This is my first posting to the list. I could use some advice from anyone who has had this problem or might know what the deal is. My 84 Wolfsburg Westy recently lost power and the engine stopped while I was going down the interstate. I could not get the engine started. My mechanic replaced the distributor cap and wires and the problem seemed to be fixed, but now I find that the engine will not start if it is warm (even after only driving a couple of miles. Starts right up if it has cooled down. The temp guage seems to read that everything is ok when running. The van has been in very good shape and has no leaks other than the usual gas tank vent leak (which I was going to have fixed before this current problem came up). I would appreciate any suggestion/advice you guys might have. Thanks, Trae 84 Westy "Mr. Brown" |
