Quoting from Go-westy's site for their 2268cc bored and stroked motor: Specially machined crankshaft with 80mm stroke. Specially machined connecting rods for 80mm stroke. Go Westy exclusive modified 95mm pistons. A different, exclusive GoWesty proprietary camshaft grind specifically for this engine. This engine requires 91 octane fuel and will pass tail pipe emissions test. Golly... it sounds much better to have a bunch of un-obtainable replacement parts in my motors rather than on of the most popular motors on the planet... I'm sure Go-Westy's motors are great and if I ever get an off-road dune buggy / sand-rail thingy I'll consider one... |
