Subject: old fuel injectors 1.9L

So I'm going to have my injectors tested (new seals arriving tomorrow), and if any are leaking (a hunch) or have a poor spray pattern, I want to switch them out with some from my parts van, which also has at 160K miles on it and has plenty of 'Michigan cancer' (rust) on everything. (I bought a southern van and the difference in rust quantity is amazing).

So anyway, I took the whole fuel ring off my parts van; I couldn't get the screws to turn on the clamps holding the injectors to the ring and will probably saw them off. My question is, how can you clean an old injector? Is this worth doing? At $80 a pop from Bus Depot, I hope to avoid buying any new ones. Maybe I won't have to anyway, but out of eight injectors I'd like to run the best four I can.
